In August, we said goodbye to one of our Chamber’s founding members, Marvin Hovorka. As a strong businessman and community builder, Marvin’s contributions were unmatched. He played a pivotal role in developing a vision for a regional chamber of commerce, which came to fruition in the RM of Piney in 2016 with the launch of the Piney Regional Chamber of Commerce.
With his extensive experience in business and his role as Reeve for the RM of Piney, Marvin was instrumental in uniting like-minded individuals from across the municipality. He helped clearly demonstrate the value the chamber could bring to the businesses and residents of the region.
Marvin’s commitment to our community was unparalleled. His visionary ideas will be deeply missed as the PRCC continues to push forward with a shared vision of a thriving southeast corner of the province.
