The Rural Municipality of Piney values quality service delivery, transparent governance, broad based resources, and sustainable environmental stewardship. It is home to a diversified economy, including agriculture, forestry, retail, service and manufacturing that support residents and businesses.
The RM has a number of employees that fulfill specific roles within the RM, and their knowledge and expertise strongly support ratepayers and promotes effective service delivery. Council and administration believe strongly in collaboration and partnerships; for example, the RM of Piney shares a economic development officer with the RM of Stuartburn to boost business and economic opportunities in the region as a whole.
The RM of Piney is a founding member and sponsor of the PRCC (currently represented by Mark Bernard, Ward 4 Councillor). They actively support entrepreneurship by directing business owners and prospective entrepreneurs to resources and mentorship opportunities, providing hands-on guidance for those in need. Their goal is to help entrepreneurs build their business, support their families, and build a legacy that lasts for generations.
