Lynette Ruta founded Stitched-Art in 2004 as a hand-guided, long-arm quilting service in Woodridge, MB. She started her business in Winnipeg, doing workshops out of stores, before moving to Woodridge full time. Lynette finishes quilts with special, custom designs as well as making custom quilts from scratch. She also does custom machine embroidery on quilts, hats, t-shirts, jackets, etc. Whether it’s baby names, logos, or creative designs, Lynette tailors her work to every customer’s unique needs. Sprague & District Historical Museum Inc.

The Sprague and District Historical Museum Inc. is the only museum in the Rural Municipality of Piney. It was organized in 2005 and opened in 2006. Over the years four more buildings and two carports have been added to the site. Thoughtful displays showcase the history of schools, post offices, general stores, CNR Stations, veterans, logging industry, and Indigenous culture in the region. Doris Hovorka, PRCC member since 2017, has been on the museum board of directors since 2004 and became President in 2010. Southeast Farmer’s Market

The Southeast Farmer’s Market in South Junction, Manitoba has been bringing the community together since the 1990s. The market runs for nine consecutive Fridays in the summer months then transitions to one Saturday per month in the winter (still hosting up to 13 vendors). Vendors include vegetable stands, fresh baked goods and desserts, soap makers, local honey, crafters and artisans, and more. Paul Boileau has been owned and operated PDB Yard & Forest out of South Junction, MB since 1990. He specializes in repairing small, motorized equipment such as chainsaws and lawnmowers, and has seen customers from all over Manitoba. Paul started out as a Jonsered (now Husqvarna Group) servicing dealer. Over the years, he has taken online classes through the Husqvarna virtual university. Joel Grenier has owned and operated Gringo Hogs near St. Labre, Manitoba since 2017. With three, 2000-head finisher barns and only one employee, it truly is a family operation. The Grenier family has been farming in the area for the last 100 years, moving from dairy to hogs over the years. Their synergy with neighbours has helped boost their success and productivity.
